The fastest growing method in the world for getting people fit is CrossFit. CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that wants to create an all around sense of fitness. It seeks out to create a competency in all ten areas of fitness: strength, stamina, cardio/respiratory endurance, flexibility, power, speed, balance, coordination, accuracy, and agility. CrossFit also wants fitness to be inclusive of everybody, no matter how much or how little someone’s athletic background is. Everyone can benefit because CrossFit’s programming is centered around functional movement, which means mechanics used in everyday life, like pickup a bag of groceries, to athletic performance. Everybody, including athletes, can benefit from a well rounded base of fitness with an emphasis on functional movement.

In an age where television and video games capture children’s attention for hours on end and the school systems growing reluctance to physical activity and an attitude towards winning, CrossFit Kids and Teens wants to give children the ability to make physical activity a staple in their developing lifestyle. Fitness should be fun and beneficial and we want everybody, especially children, to understand this.
Whether children have are already involved in athletics or not CrossFit wants them to stay involved with fitness for the rest of their lives. Children already playing sports can benefit not just from the physical development of a CrossFit program but the mental end. The competition is becoming fierce with students working towards athletic scholarships and it is easy to burnout. CrossFit is a great way to remain physical but take a mental break from sport and remember that at the end of the day physical activity is about fun. Children not involved in athletics must find an outlet for physical fitness. An appreciation for fitness will set the groundwork for a lifestyle that will be filled with confidence and a sense of physical well being.
Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
For the more competitive minded or those that just what a challenge, our Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program is more sport oriented rather then a self-defense approach to martial arts. Judo is known for its dynamic throws while BJJ is savvy with groundwork, finishing opponents with locks and chokes. Very few places offer both disciplines under one roof, only focusing on one or the other. Most fights end up on the ground but all of them start standing up.
Kids Martial Arts
Modern society, whether we like it or not, has become bully obsessed. Everybody is quick to call out a bully but few are willing to do anything about it. Teaching kids martial arts gives them the power to create discipline, self-restraint, and self-reliance. Our kids build confidence while learning to defend themselves in a safe environment.
Our kids martial arts program is a mix of Tae Kwon Do, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Judo. We don’t want to leave anything out when it comes to martial arts. We want our people to be prepared for everything.
